Update:
Hi everyone,
I hope you’re doing well! Today is an exciting day because Olivia, myself, and our co-hosts have announced our 48-hour readathon, “Catathon Readathon”, which will take place on April 20th and 21st. We would love for you to join us if you can! This is the second time that we are hosting this readathon, and we are incredibly excited about it!
We even made activity prompts to accompany it!
If you are interested, please follow us on Instagram, where we will post everything related to the Catathon Readathon. All cards can be downloaded HERE.
Cohosts:
Thank you to our cohosts!
Abigail (and cats: Luna, Ellie, Dolly, Poppy, and Hugo) @abigailscupoftea
Christin (and Pocus the cat) @christin_rene_
Melanie (and Kyra the cat) @thatgirl_blogue
Other life updates:
It has been a busy week, but I am happy to be able to relax this weekend. Today, Olivia and I will be watching some movies at home and enjoying some delicious Greek-style lemon potatoes that were purchased from a local vendor. Although I have not tried this particular variety before, lemon potatoes have always been one of my favourite dishes. So, I was pleasantly surprised by my partner today when he brought a tray of these for us to enjoy!
Olivia Update 🐾
Olivia is still beaming with excitement after a sociable day yesterday that included many pets and treats from a visitor.
Olivia, satisfied, below 🙂

Thank you so much, Haze!
I read Funny Story recently and enjoyed it. Hope you do too! And, the catathon sounds like such a fun idea!
Thank you, Tessa! I’m enjoying Funny Story as well. Have a wonderful week ahead!
The readathon looks so delightful, Sara—this is a perfect moment to give cats in books some love! I’ll see if I can join in that weekend. Thanks so much for sharing, and I hope you had a relaxing weekend!

Thanks, that would be great if you could join! Have a wonderful week ahead, Max!
Dickens, Julia Alvarez, and S.J. Rozan are all authors that I’ve enjoyed. Dickens hasn’t published anything lately (ha ha) but the other two are new to me and i’m going to check them out.

Haha you’re right, he hasn’t!
Thanks for stopping by, Mae!
I love the idea of your Catathon Readathon! I am sure it will be a great success! Cats and reading are a great combination. 🙂 I hope you are enjoying your reading! I read Julia Alvarez’s In the Time of the Butterflies a few years ago and loved it. And one of these days I will read something by Emily Henry. I am reading David Copperfield by Charles Dickens and enjoying it. I haven’t read Great Expectations, but perhaps someday. I hope you and Olivia have a wonderful week!

Someone close to me just finished David Copperfield and loved it! I hope you do as well. Great Expectations is my favourite book, so this one is a reread, and I’m definitely savouring it!
I hope you have a wonderful week as well!
My husband loves In a Lonely Place and I’m a fan of The Shop Around the Corner.
My son and I bailed on A Tale of Two Cities recently and I feel bad so I’m going to try to get us to finish it over the summer. I hope you have a good week!

The Shop Around the Corner was so good! James Stewart has been in so many films and I think he’s so good in that one! Ah, and Humphrey Boghart is just awesome in In a Lonely Place. I also tried A Tale of Two Cities and want to retry that one.
I hope you have a good week as well!
I love your idea of a Catathon Readathon. I wonder if I can find someone to loan their cat to read with on that day. I’m going to share this with my friend who owns a bookstore. Maybe she will have time to participate, too.
