I love so many of these authors, too: Lewis, Atwood, Dickens, Acevedo, Miller. Great list.

Thank you! I’m happy to hear we have some similar favs!
With the Fire on High was a good book. The Handmaids Tale was an interesting listen. The narrator had such a monotone way of delivery that you really felt the hopelessness.
Oh I haven’t listened to the audiobook for THT but I did listen to the audiobook for The Testaments, which was really great!
While I’ve heard of these authors, I’ve not read any of their books.
Here’s my TTT for the week: https://readbakecreate.com/favorite-covers-for-murder-on-the-orient-express/
Thanks for checking out the post!
A great looking list. I’ve only read Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens but want to read more. Again with CS Lewis I’ve only read The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe 🤔
Have a great week!

I read those two during Christmas time, they’re great winter reads!
I hope you have a great week as well!
Love that you’ve included the author headshot!
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
Glad you enjoyed it! Have a great week!
Great Expectations is my favourite Dickens too.
I’m glad you enjoy it! It’s my favourite book.
I don’t know that I’ve read anything from James Baldwin yet, but I’ll have to look him up.
I hope you do, he’s great!
Maybe this will be the summer I will read James Baldwin!
Highly recommended!
I never read horror but I loved Mexican Gothics!
So good!
What a fantastic list! I agree with many of your choices, though I didn’t include them in my own list! Happy to see Mexican Gothic here! I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I love Madeline Miller, though I don’t know if I could pick a favorite between Circe and The Song of Achilles 🙂
Oh definitely, it’s a difficult task!
Quite a few of these are new to me. I have read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Have a good week!
Thanks, you as well, Cindy!
I love seeing other readers choices for this meme. My list however would not include any of these authors.
Happy reading!
I fullheartedly agree with The Chronicles of Narnia! Such childhood nostalgia 🙂

Definitely! It’s such a wonderful read.
Mexican Gothic was such a good read.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
OMG that twist in Monday’s Not Coming had me shook!

Wasn’t it incredible!?
I love Acevedo and Jackson SO MUCH. Monday’s Not Coming and Alledgedly are my favorites by Jackson, except I also love Grown so much. Both are such incredibly talented writers.
For me, my favorite Elizabeth Acevedo book is definitely The Poet X! I adored that book when I read it!
