Update 🐾
It’s honestly been a pretty hectic week and I am quite exhausted (who isn’t?!). But I have some really awesome books to look forward to. Since coming back to the blog, I’ve gotten through a lot of my NetGalley backlog and my current feedback ratio is 92%, which I’m very happy about! I don’t request many titles at once — I typically like to read first and then request. However, at the moment, I do have about seven titles left to read and review. So, for now, I will chill out on adding more to the TBR. I asked this question to readers last week, but I think my link didn’t work very well and I had low traffic on my last blog post. So I’ll ask the question again: how is your NetGalley feedback ratio right now? How has your reviewing experience been?
The upcoming weather forecast looks very wet for next week — a whole bunch of rain seems to be coming our way. Although I enjoy gardening, I’m happy that nature is giving me a bit of a break.
Other than that, not much is new except for a whole lot of Portuguese immersion.
Short update. Hope you are all doing well!

QOTD: How are you doing?

I don’t do NetGalley. I don’t request books. Still I get books in the mail—I got one today. I’m glad you have been able to catch up on your reviews. I am sure that is a good feeling!
That’s exciting, I hope you enjoy your book, Deb!
Wow, 92% is good going. I’m definitely not doing so well — I have a backlog of reviews from a point when I got overwhelmed, and I’m stubbornly trying to get to them, but…
I had no idea there was going to be a Legends & Lattes graphic novel. Definitely interested to check that out when I can.

I hope you enjoy it when you can get to it! I’m about 30ish percent done today.
Seems from your blog like you are doing quite a bit of reviews! I enjoy seeing what you’ve been reading. Have a great week!
Yes – my Netgalley feedback ratio is also 92%, though confusingly it also adds the recommended feedback ratio is 80%, so your guess is as good as mine:). As for keeping track of viewing stats – this year I’ve given up as I’ve endured several bot attacks where suddenly my viewing stats go crazy for a 24 hour period, making any kind of tracking utterly useless. Grrr.
Have a lovely week and I hope you enjoy your reads, Sara:).
I don’t want to talk about my NetGalley ratio, lol. I don’t request often but I get widgets sent to me sometimes and I’m bad at resisting them.
I’ve got Entities to Lovers and Books, Iced Coffee, and a Side of Dragons on my NetGalley shelf as well! Hope we both enjoy them!
Books, Iced Coffee, & a Side of Dragons and Entities to Lovers both look so cute!!! I am adding them to my TBR for sure.
I once went crazy with Net Galley and it stressed me out so bad. My ratio is now 99% because I refused to give feedback on one book. I have nothing outstanding and haven’t requested anything in a while. I have been in a phase where I can’t add stress, and deadlines add stress (because I can’t do reviews late). Happy reading!
Omg, I keep forgetting about NetGalley. I have 14 books languishing on my shelf over there, but at least my ratio is 93%.
Enjoy your rain! We need more, but I don’t think we’ll get it this week.
Ooh, Entities to Lovers is on my TBR, glad to hear you are enjoying it! I’ve got my NG ration at 86%, it hovers there and going down to 85%. There are so many I requested like 10 or so years ago when I first started using it that I probably won’t go back and read, and I don’t even know if I can get my hands on them other than maybe buying the e-books on Amazon. I’d like to get a higher ration, but like you I’m better these days about not requesting a lot. Have a good week!

I’m glad to hear Entities to Lovers is good. I’m looking forward to reading it!
My feedback ratio is nearly at 100% because I request few ARCs and only those I know I will read.
I’m trying to cutback on my NetGalley requests. My ratio isn’t very good since I originally went crazy when I first joined. I thought nobody would approve me, but everyone did. I’m trying to get my numbers down, though.
Hope you have a great week!
Every week seems busy. I have used Netgalley since 2013. My ratio is 94%. I always have about 30 books but they are over the upcoming 6 months. I do read about 3-4 books a week. Right now with the world a mess and some things in my personal life I am barely keeping up. Audiobooks help me keep up because I can clean, cook, knit, etc while listening.
I noticed you are Canadian. I have many Canadian friends. Also I apologize for my country’s stupid government currently. I’m busy volunteering and donating to better candidates in the election this November.
My Netgalley feedback ratio sits at about 98% much of the time as I only request/accept audiobooks now (I have neck issues which flare when reading. My public library is great and I can get most audiobooks I want to read there. I also have the cheap audible subscription for $8.99 which allows me to read one book a month for those audiobooks I can’t get via Netgalley or through Libro.fm. Have a great week Sara.
My NetGalley ratio is 50%. Over the past couple of years, I’ve requested 30 books and reviewed 15. I rarely request books, so I should be able to increase my ratio this year. Have a great week! 🙂
I’m at 99%. I had a garlic cookbook that I wanted to try the recipes from, but unfortunately, my kindle bit the dust and the download for the book (to put on a new device) had ended. So, I have that one book staring me down every time I log into NetGalley.
That is a great NetGalley ratio. I’m at just 76%. I had a run of books I was ultimately did not want to finish, so I quit reading from NetGalley altogether. Now, I have returned, but I’m reading only nonfiction, and requesting just one book at a time.
Looking forward to your review of Romeo and Juliet.
I avoid looking at my NetGalley ratio 🙂 And it’s hard to resist when the publishers email me the links to grab the latest books. Happy reading! The Vincent book caught my eye.
That ratio is amazing! I used to be at 97%, but then had two really bad years in a job that crushed my soul (I’m a special education teacher who had the misfortune of an AWFUL admin those two years). All I did was read, and reviewed almost nothing. So…I am hopelessly behind but publishers keep sending me books, so what am I to do, lol. But I am working on it as one of my goals this summer! Happy Reading!
Oooh! My NetGalley ratio is at 93% right now, which is pretty great, but I keep hoping I can get it to 100%. The problem is that I have a few backlist books that I just never make time for since they no longer fit my reading tastes. However, the upcoming books I have, I’m really excited for!
